Did you set a reading goal for 2021? I continued to read and listen to my way through 2021. It is also shocking to me that this year is coming to an end.
I joined a couple of reading challenges at the beginning of the year. But to be honest, I like reading books by recommendations by friends who are fellow readers. It does not sound appealing to read a book to check it off a “prompt” list sounds terrible. Reading time is my chill time. When I get to shut it all out, wind down and escape into another world.
Paperweight waterproof Kindle continues to be how I do most of my reading. It’s all in the name, and it’s light, waterproof, and durable after many travels. Trust me; when you drop your Kindle, it feels like when you drop your phone. You hold your breathing and maybe try to stop it with your foot. Bonus is that your Kindle syncs with the Kindle app on your phone, so if you find yourself with a few minutes to yourself, you can read your “book.”
I also listen to books, and to be completely honest. I’m typically reading and listening to a book simultaneously. The only criteria are that they need to be completely different, so I don’t confuse myself. I listen on “Audible” and the “Cloud Library” app. I encourage you to get a library card so you can save some money.
Be sure to join me on Good Reads @KimKesslerSweeney to see what I’m reading, want to read, and of course, read!
You can find a list of all the books in my Amazon Idea List.
Lastly, if you have an excellent book recommendation, please share it with me!
xoxo,
Kim
